From Acle United (Step7) to Halesworth Town (Step 6), a breakthrough with Lowestoft Town (Step 4) and becoming the first-ever Lowestoft Town Scholar — the past year has been a significant one in Luca Upton’s development as a footballer.
The beginning of Luca's senior football experience. Goals, assists and the opportunity to learn the physical and competitive demands of men's football.
A move up a level. More senior experience, two goals in a Suffolk Senior Cup quarter-final and involvement in a historic cup-winning campaign.
The breakthrough. Six consecutive first-team appearances at the end of the 2025/26 season, five wins, two goals and a contribution to helping the club secure its place in the division.
Now Luca is competing at Step 4 and has become the first-ever player to officially sign for Lowestoft Town's new Scholarship Programme.
