Luca's loan period continues as Acle United gave their supporters the chance to celebrate a convincing win before another bumper crowd, when they won 3-0 to knock Sheringham out of the Mummery Cup.

United managers Barraclough and Mason added another young player to the squad with the talented Sam Churchill making his debut with news of another signing due to join in the next few days.

The A's led the match early when Man of the Match Leago Dalamo flighted a lovely corner on to the head of club stalwart Damon Cooper who majestically rose to head into the roof of the net.

A long throw was then headed inches wide by Mason. Then the talented Upton played a wonderful through ball to the busy Dalamo but he was ruled marginally offside.

New boy Churchill showed some neat work out on the left before shooting just wide of the far post.

Leago Dolamo had his full back in his pocket throughout the 90 minutes as he once again turned his man inside out before sending a dangerous cross into the 6 yard box.

It was all United as a long punt downfield from Bilham saw Upton show fantastic skill to get his shot away which was deflected for a corner.

A scramble in the Shannocks box almost led to Acle doubling their league, but apart from the odd break the visitors had shown little, as Bilham took the day off, a far cry from recent events of a month ago.

Acle did double their lead when the versatile Cooper scored a fantastic second goal as somehow he volleyed home with an overhead kick to the delight of everyone watching. The teams turned round with Acle 2 up in a first half performance that matched anything they produced in their Sterry Cup winning year last year.

The secret to a consistent winning performance is as much to do with what you do without the ball as with it, and this young Acle squad are now working to win the ball back at every opportunity.

Kemp came on for the second half and looked good for the A's, and although Blackett received a nasty cut and had to be withdrawn all the United substitutes were used in a breath taking second half.

Dalamo was on fire and exited all as he beat his defender numerous times.

However, the only meaningful attack for Sheringham saw Deny on the edge of the six yard box but he blasted high and wide over the bar.

But it was business as usual at the other end as United had two more goals ruled out one after a linesman signalled the ball out, the other when Referee Nunn spotted a hand ball, before Upton scored.

Churchill showed some more good work out wide before crossing for Upton whose shot was just over the bar.

Freddie Simmonds was everywhere in midfield and almost scored with a fantastic volley fractions over the bar.

Churchill almost got his debut goal but after clever work out wide his goal bound shot was deflected for a corner.

The move of the match saw Luca Upton get his deserved goal when Simmonds passed to Dolamo whose first touch found Axtem (another who had a brilliant game) who played in Upton who converted for 3-0.

All in all the club appears to be back on the up and with now strong competition for places and with the younger places making such a contribution, all looks good for the future and particularly with only one booking.
