Acle United 3–0 Swaffham Town
Managers Brown and Barraclough gave young Archie Crowe a start out wide up front and welcomed back Charlie Halifax to the back four.
The A's began the game in confident mood and moved the ball around in their opponents half with great poise and it was no surprise when they took the lead.
Barraclough played a sweeping crossfield ball out to Dalamo who made his own job easier by hugging his touchline and turning his man, before planting the ball in the back of the net from way out left for the all important first goal.
In a period of dominance by the A's Mason sent a header just over the bar and then Halifax skimmed the bar with another header.
The Acle full back then almost opened his account since joining from Loddon United, as
he came in fast and late only to see his shot saved by the keeper, but was then denied by the bar and post in his follow up.
Dalamo was again too clever for his marker as he created a wonderful opening for Upton who was unlucky to see his shot deflected for a corner.
Upton so often a skilful provider as well as a proven goal scorer, then played in Dalamo who was only just wide.
Carson now getting back to fitness saw his free kick come off a defender for a corner, but with Barraclough and Mason such a threat from set pieces, United always looked like they would further increase their lead as the former sent another powerful header just over. Halifax did dive in before the end of the half but the winger's cross came to nothing and the only thing the A's could have reflected on was the fact that they should have been 4 up before the break.
Bilham had got bored in the first half but when the Town winger threatened early in the second half he was off his line to save and keep United in front.
Carson headed just over and after more unselfish work from Dalamo there was Archie Crowe to side foot home for the first of many first team goals to come. Two up, on came the impressive Attree, but no more so than Simmons who again showed his box to box movement and tremendous work rate.
Luca Upton then showed us more of his amazing skills as he made space for Pye but his volley was well wide. Dalamo then went inches wide and with Howell in command at the back Acle looked very likely to get a third.
On came Blackett for the moment of the match as a wonderful skill set by him set up Upton, who was denied a goal.
Then Dalamo waved his magic wand again, to get clear of his man, as Mitch Carson almost scored.
But Acle then played their joker as Upton found Pye who squared for Blackett to tap home number 3, to leave the Acle supporters happy to have seen such a quality performance.
